Capturing the Thrill!!

Capturing the thrill of the jump on canvas!! This is my latest painting of one Jaisaac Sloan #63 at Starwest in Perris, CA. This was a challenging painting to do, but I was very happy with the way it developed from beginning to end.

It is a 24" x 30" acrylic on gallery canvas.

This is the picture provided for the painting.

Hot Summer Nights is now in full swing at Starwest and once a month at Perris Raceway. I will be at Perris Raceway beginning July 11th as the riders sign up for their races between 12 and 2.

Hope to see you there!

Glen Helen 6.6.09 through 6.7.09

Glen Helen was spectactular! This was our first event where I displayed my motocross paintings thus far. The event could not have gone smoother; the turn out was huge, the track staff were very friendly and helpful, and the response to my customized renditions was amazing! We are so excited to kick off with such a bang and we plan to continue promoting strongly at future races.

You'll find us at Glen Helen Raceway next weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, as well as possible cameos at the Perris Raceway Hot Summer Nights Series on Saturday evening as well the Starwest Motocross Park's Sizzling Summer Series on Sunday evening.

We look forward to seeing you there!

California is the heart of Motocross!!

California is the place for dirt bikes and motocross. Riders come from all over the country to take part in events all over Southern California, sometimes feeling at a disadvantage to the California riders that have access to great riding areas all year round. Racing requires a lot of practice and endurance, so riders here can train on tracks every day of the week to get that needed edge.

Dirt bike riding is passed down from generation to generation with racing the natural conclusion- young and old enjoying the thrill of racing.

Motocross is very competitive and physically challenging. On a normal racing weekend that can mean 12 hours of hard riding on tracks that are meant to challenge the endurance of the best riders.

There is comradery that is palpable among the riders, and though the pressure can be intense, the fun and excitement of the sport comes through! It is a great spectator sport and one the whole family can enjoy and partake in.
